The MAMA AWARDS, one of Asia’s most prestigious celebrations of music and performance, has officially announced its nominees for the 2025 ceremony. This year’s event will take place at Hong Kong’s newly opened Kai Tak Stadium on November 28 and 29, bringing together global artists and fans for two nights of unforgettable performances.
The 2025 MAMA AWARDS will recognize excellence across diverse categories including Artist, Song, and Album of the Year, as well as genre and performance-based awards that highlight choreography, vocals, and collaboration.
Judging and Evaluation Criteria
Winners for the major categories will be determined through a combination of professional evaluation, sales data, and fan participation:

Artist of the Year / Artist Categories – 40% judging panel, 30% streaming & downloads (20% Korea, 10% global), 30% physical album sales

Song of the Year / Genre Categories – 40% judging panel, 60% streaming & downloads (40% Korea, 20% global)

Album of the Year – 40% judging panel, 60% physical album sales (albums selling over 1 million copies)

Best Music Video & Best Choreography – 100% judging panel

Fans’ Choice Awards – Determined primarily by Mnet Plus and X (formerly Twitter) voting
The first round of voting for the Fans’ Choice Male and Female categories will be held through October 26 at 11:59 p.m. KST, with the top 20 in each advancing to Round 2, running October 30 through November 10. A final round for Fans’ Choice of the Year will include an additional 10% real-time Mnet Plus vote during the broadcast.
Eligible music was released between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025.
Fans’ Choice Voting Now Open
Fans around the world can make their voices heard by voting via Mnet Plus and X (formerly Twitter). The results will play a key role in determining the winners for Fans’ Choice Male, Female, and overall Fans’ Choice of the Year.
