For several years now, Anime Weekend Atlanta has built a reputation for hosting some of the best music lineups of any anime convention in America, maybe even the world. In the past, the con has brought diverse lineups year after year, featuring notable artists such as Miyavi, Ano, TeddyLoid, Crystal Kay, and Peelander-Z, just to name a few. So it should come as no surprise that they continued this tradition by bringing Japanese rock legends FLOW to the 2025 convention.
FLOW performed all over the world in 2025 as part of their “NARUTO THE ROCK” world tour, with many of those shows taking place in the United States. Their appearance at Anime Weekend Atlanta was not only their final U.S. show of the year, but also their last performance anywhere in the world for 2025. Adding to the excitement, it was also the band’s first ever show in Atlanta, Georgia, making it a truly memorable event for everyone involved.
Anime Weekend Atlanta kicked off on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, and the day’s unofficial theme seemed to be FLOW, as all of the band’s appearances were scheduled for that day.

Flow Q&A at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2025
The FLOW focused day began with an intimate Q&A session for their most dedicated fans. The band’s manager served as both the MC and the translator for the event. FLOW appeared to be in great spirits while interacting with fans, and the session was even broken up with video compilations from past tour dates. While the band’s bassist was unable to attend the weekend due to medical reasons, the group reassured fans that he was doing very well.
Fans clearly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with their favorite band, and the Q&A helped everyone get to know the members on a more personal level. FLOW answered questions about their songwriting process, their favorite anime series, and even asked the audience what kind of food they should try while in Atlanta.
The band’s next appearance of the day was an autograph signing. Similar to the Q&A, this was another great opportunity for fans to get up close and personal with the members. FLOW signed merchandise ranging from posters and CDs to figures from anime series they have contributed music to. They were in great spirits throughout the signing, thanking everyone in attendance and showing genuine excitement at meeting their fans.
The final FLOW appearance of the day was the main event, their headlining concert. The band took the stage with more energy than many bands half their age, and that energy did not let up until the final chords rang out across the packed main events room.

FLOW performing at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2025
Earlier in the day, FLOW mentioned during the Q&A that the setlist would be tailored specifically for an anime loving audience, and they delivered. The show was packed with anime anthems that had the crowd energized from start to finish.
FLOW opened with “Re:member” and quickly followed it up with the fan favorite “Kaze no Uta.” While the band is best known for their work on Naruto, they did not limit themselves, surprising the audience with a cover of the classic Dragon Ball Z opening, “Cha La Head Cha La.” The crowd erupted with excitement as soon as the song began.
The set continued with hit after hit, but both the band and the audience truly exploded when FLOW launched into the iconic Naruto opener “GO!!!” Even today, it is nearly impossible to attend an anime convention without hearing this song at least once, so experiencing it live, performed by the original band, was an unforgettable moment for everyone in attendance.
Following that highlight, the band closed out their set with “GOLD,” and just like that, the night came to an end. The band was on fire, the crowd was electric, and the production was strong on both the visual and audio fronts. While some conventions struggle with AV quality, Anime Weekend Atlanta has consistently delivered an outstanding main events room for performances like this.
With the concert’s conclusion, the FLOW focused Thursday came to an end for most attendees. Between the performance and the additional fan focused events, the entire experience felt truly special. FLOW is a major band, and opportunities to interact with them in such a unique and intimate way are rare. Anime Weekend Atlanta did something truly special by bringing them to the convention, and it is hard not to hope for more major musical acts on the first day of the con in the future. Most would agree that FLOW kicked off the weekend in the best way possible, and many would love to see them return again someday.
Thank you, FLOW, and thank you, Anime Weekend Atlanta. You made many people’s dreams a reality.
