Apple+ debuted the first trailer for the forthcoming Apple+ sci-fi limited series ‘Extrapolations’, which features an incredible ensemble including Daveed Diggs, Matthew Rhys, Heather Graham, Sienna Miller, Tahar Rahim, Meryl Streep, David Schwimmer, Gemma Chan, Forest Whitaker, and many many other incredible talents. ‘Extrapolations’ is helmed by writer, director and producer Scott Z. Burns, whose screenplay for Contagion, has felt all the more prescient these past few years.
‘Extrapolations’ takes Burns interest in the future of Earth, and humanity’s part in our own success or demise, and explores it further. According to the Apple+ press release, the show “introduces a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives. Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population. Every story is different, but the fight for our future is universal. Are we brave enough to become the solution to our own undoing before it’s too late?”
Burns is joined by executive producers Michael Ellenberg, Gregory Jacobs, Dorothy Fortenberry and Lindsey Springer.
