Production company Illumination released the latest and final trailer for the new Super Mario Bros. film. In the trailer, Mario has to rescue Luigi, who has been captured by Bowser, all while Bowser sets his sights on the Mushroom Kingdom ruled by Peach.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released in theatres on April 5.
The film is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo. The film will be co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and released worldwide by Universal Pictures.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are co-directing the film with a screenplay written by Matthew Fogel.
Chris Pratt stars as the titular Mario alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco.
