The BBC released a trailer for the forthcoming Christmas special of the British ‘Ghosts’, which sees the Coopers dealing with a child, a mother-in-law, and the regular haunts of the house. This special caps off the 5th season as well as the end of the show, as it was previously announced ‘Ghosts’ would end with its fifth season.
‘Ghosts’ was created by the Them There team, who also worked on the series Horrible Histories and Yonderland. The series features Alison Cooper, played by Charlotte Ritchie, and Mike Cooper, played by Kiell Smith-Bynoe, a young couple who inherity a rickety mansion. After a new death incident at the house, Alison now can see and interact with the many ghosts who have passed away in the premises.
CBS adapted the series for American TV in 2021, which has been recently picked-up for a third series. CBS summarily has brought over the UK version to its channel as well, beginning Thursday, November 16, 2023.
