The Fall Film Slate: What’s Coming to Theaters and Streaming Services This Season

Autumn leaves haven’t quite fallen, nor has the snap of cold arrived; however, with Pumpkin Spice in the air and kids back in session its time for us to preview some of the most discussed and/or anticipated films coming to theaters and/or streaming this Fall.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (Sept. 06, 2024)

Synopsis: Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Speak No Evil (Sept. 13, 2024)

Synopsis: When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.

How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (Sept. 13, 2024)

Synopsis: A young man quits his job to look after his dying grandmother. However, it is not out of love that he assumes the role of a devoted grandson but for a substantial inheritance worth millions, going to great lengths to become the apple of his demanding grandmother’s eye before time runs out.

Jung Kook: I Am Still (Sept. 18, 2024)

The Substance (Sept. 20, 2024)

Synopsis: Demi Moore portrays a fading Hollywood star feuding with the manifestation of her younger self in this award-winning body-horror satire from writer-director Coralie Fargeat.

Never Let Go (Sept. 20, 2024)

Synopsis: In this new psychological thriller/horror, as an Evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. The Outrun (Oct. 4, 2024)

My Hero Academia: You’re Next (Oct. 11, 2024)

Wicked (Nov. 22, 2024)

Synopsis: Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart.
