Paramount+ has unveiled Star Trek: Section 31, an upcoming movie that promises to take the franchise into uncharted territories. Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, last seen in Star Trek: Discovery, as she returns to help Starfleet confront new challenges along with her past.
Star Trek: Section 31 will stream exclusively on Paramount+ beginning January 24, 2025.
Joining Michelle Yeoh in Star Trek: Section 31 are Omari Hardwick (Power), Emmy® winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia), and Joe Pingue (The Expanse). Miku Martineau (Kate) rounds out the cast, portraying a young Philippa Georgiou.
Star Trek Section 31 is Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi (Star Trek: Discovery), with a screenplay by Craig Sweeny and a story by Bo Yeon Kim and Erika Lippoldt.
