After earlier releasing a trailer for the new animated City Hunter film, City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust, Aniplex has released a new trailer ahead of the film’s Fall release. City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust will be released theatrically on September 8, 2023 in Japan.
City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust’s official synopsis: “The story is set in modern Tokyo and approaches the core of Ryo Saeba’s past and the death of his partner, Hideyuki Makimura. “City Hunter” enters a new phase with this work, which bears the title of “Angel Dust”, which has an important role in the original. Ryo with a wound drawn by Tsukasa Hojo in the key visual, what is in front of the line of sight…? !”
Kenji Kodama, the first director of the TV series, will lead the staff as general director. The script will be written by Yasuyuki Muto (“Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” script, “Tokyo Revengers” series composition).
The voice actors are Akira Kamiya, who plays Ryo Saeba, and Kazue Ikura, who plays Kaoru Makimura.
In addition, the role of the client, Angie, is Miyuki Sawashiro, who was in charge of dubbing incense in the French version of the live-action movie “City Hunter THE MOVIE History’s Most Incense Mission”. Tomokazu Seki plays the role of Piraruku, a mercenary of an organization that targets Ryo, and Subaru Kimura plays the role of his partner, Espada. Kenyu Horiuchi plays the role of Kaibarajin, the man who knows Ryo’s past.
TM NETWORK developed the theme songs including the opening theme “Whatever Comes” and ending theme “Get Wild”.
