Blackpink Teases 2025 World Tour as Solo Projects Continue

Blackpink

At 10 AM EST, YG Entertainment unveiled a teaser video on Blackpink’s official YouTube channel, teasing their upcoming 2025 world tour. The announcement follows previous confirmations from YG that new music and a world tour were in the works for the global K-pop phenomenon.

This would mark Blackpink’s first world tour since their massively successful Born Pink World Tour, which spanned 66 shows between 2022 and 2023.

Solo Projects and Future Plans

Since the conclusion of their last tour, Blackpink’s members have focused on their solo careers:

  • Jisoo released ME in 2023.
  • Rosé followed with Rosie on December 6, 2024.
  • Lisa will release Alter Ego on February 28, 2025.
  • Jennie is set to drop Ruby on March 7, 2025.

Despite their individual pursuits, YG Entertainment confirmed that Blackpink will return with new music in 2025, alongside their highly anticipated world tour.

Blackpink’s Continued Global Impact

Blackpink’s last studio album, “Born Pink” (2022), topped the Billboard 200 and spawned a world tour that concluded in 2023. In 2024, the group celebrated their success with the release of the theatrical concert film of the Born Pink tour, which debuted in cinemas worldwide on July 31, 2024.

Formed in 2016 under YG Entertainment, Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé have since become one of the most influential and highest-charting female Korean acts in history. Their single “Ice Cream” peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Born Pink debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200—cementing their status as K-pop icons.
