Drew and Ellie Holcomb, celebrated for their rich harmonies, heartfelt storytelling, and award-winning careers, are embarking on an exciting new chapter with their first-ever joint album as a duo, Memory Bank. The album Memory Bank drops this Friday, January 24th, followed by an extensive U.S. tour in support of the duo’s album. Known for their solo successes and collaborations within Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, this project represents a deeper creative union, with co-written songs inspired by their shared life experiences.
The album title, Memory Bank, draws from a phrase Drew’s father often used during family road trips: “Don’t expect an inheritance; I put all the money in the memory bank.” This philosophy of living generously and embracing life’s adventures echoes throughout tracks like ‘High Seas’ and their Motown-inspired single, ‘Rain or Shine,’ which pairs a soulful groove with themes of resilience and mutual support.
The accompanying tour kicks off February 5th at Mobile, AL’s Saenger Theatre and includes stops across the Southeast and beyond, including stops in Drew and Ellie’s home state of Tennessee with stops in Knoxville and Chattanooga on February 7th and February 8th respectively. The tour culminates on May 3rd at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. Fans can expect intimate performances blending autobiographical songs with crowd favorites from their storied careers.
