Disney recently announced on social media that The Artful Dodger, a show inspired by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist and its iconic character Jack Dawkins (better known as the Artful Dodger), will return for a second season.
Filming for the new season is set to begin in Australia in 2025.
Season 1 introduced audiences to Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the charmingly roguish Dodger, now a pickpocket turned skilled surgeon. His past life as a criminal constantly looms large, especially after Fagin, portrayed by David Thewlis, arrives in Australia, rekindling old connections and rivalries. The season also starred Maia Mitchell, Damon Herriman, Tim Minchin, Susie Porter, Miranda Tapsell, and Damien Garvey, among others.
