First Look at BBC Adaptation of Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder Is Easy’

AgathaChristie.com released the first teaser images from the forthcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder is Easy’, produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited. ‘Murder is Easy’ will be released in two parts and will be available to watch on BBC One and iPlayer and on BritBox International’s streaming services.

The new adaptation of ‘Murder is Easy’ is directed by Meenu Gaur with the screenplay by Siân Ejiwunmi-Le Berre.

Synopsis: England, 1954. On a train to London, Fitzwilliam (David Jonsson) meets Miss Pinkerton (Penelope Wilton), who tells him that a killer is on the loose in the sleepy English village of Wychwood under Ashe.

The villagers believe the deaths are mere accidents, but Miss Pinkerton knows otherwise – and when she’s later found dead on her way to Scotland Yard, Fitzwilliam feels he must find the killer before they can strike again. Because for a certain kind of person, murder is easy…

The cast includes David Jonsson (Industry, Rye Lane), Morfydd Clark (Lord of the Rings, Saint Maud), Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey, After Life), Tom Riley (The Nevers, Ill Behaviour), Douglas Henshall (Shetland, In Plain Sight), Mathew Baynton (Ghosts, Wonka), Mark Bonnar (World on Fire, Guilt), Sinead Matthews (Hullraisers, The Crown), Nimra Bucha (Polite Society, Ms Marvel), Tamzin Outhwaite (The Tower, Ridley Road), Kathryn Howden (River City, Six Four), Jon Pointing (Big Boys, Plebs), Demmy Ladipo (Dreaming Whilst Black, The Last Tree), Gloria Obianyo (Good Omens, Mission Impossible), and Ngozi Ude, and first time screen actress Phoebe Licorish.
