IGN released the first exclusive look at the ‘The Toxic Avenger’ reboot with the release of the red band trailer.
Synopsis: The Toxic Avenger follows struggling everyman-janitor Winston Gooze, who is transformed by a horrible toxic accident into a new evolution of hero: The Toxic Avenger! Now with super-human strength and wielding a glowing mop for his unconventional weapon, he must race against time to save his son and stop a ruthless and power-hungry corporate tyrant bent on harnessing toxic superpowers to strengthen his polluted empire.
Previously FantasticFest released the first image seen from the new Toxic Avenger Reboot, where the film premiered as part of the opening night of films at FantasticFest.
The original film The Toxic Avenger was released in 1984 by Troma Entertainment, whereupon it become a beloved cult film. The film also launched a franchise which included sequels, a musical, and a cartoon series.
The new reboot features Peter Dinklage as the title character, joined by Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, Sarah Niles, Julia Davis, Julian Kostov and Elijah Wood.
