Warner Bros. Pictures released the first trailer for ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’, which sees the return of Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck / Joker. Phoenix is joined by Lady Gaga, who will be portraying Harleen Quinzel / Harley Quinn, alongside Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz who is returning to her role as Sophie Dumond.
Todd Phillips returns as the writer/director/producer following his success with the previous film ‘Joker’ released in 2019.
Synopsis: ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’ finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him.”
‘Joker: Folie À Deux’ will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters nationwide on October 4, 2024 and internationally on October 2, 2024.
Scott Silver & Phillips co-wrote the screenplay based on characters from DC. The film was produced by Phillips, Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Joseph Garner. Lady Gaga served as music consultant. The film’s executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Georgia Kacandes, Silver, Mark Friedberg and Jason Ruder.
