Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming series American Primeval. Spanning six episodes, the series follows a mother and son fleeing from their past as they form a found family while confronting the harsh realities of freedom and cruelty in the American West.
American Primeval premieres exclusively on Netflix on January 9.
The series stars Taylor Kitsch as Isaac, a traumatized man struggling to overcome his demons, and Betty Gilpin as Sara Rowell, a composed and graceful woman seeking a guide across the frontier for herself and her son, Devin.

American Primeval was created by Pete Berg, Mark L. Smith, and Eric Newman. Berg directs the series and serves as an executive producer, Newman acts as showrunner and executive producer, and Smith contributes as the series’ writer.
