After several weeks of steady climbing on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song “Golden” from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters has finally reached the coveted #1 spot. The track, performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, overtook Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” which had held the top position for several weeks prior.

K-Pop Demon Hunters, released on June 20, 2025, has maintained a strong presence on the charts since its debut. Alongside “Golden,” other songs from the soundtrack, such as “Your Idol” by the fictional group Saja Boys, as well as tracks by real-life K-Pop group Twice — including “Strategy” and their rendition of “Takedown” — have contributed to the soundtrack’s growing popularity.

This success continues a trend of increasing K-Pop influence on global music charts, bolstered by the sustained dominance of BTS. The group’s hits like “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Dynamite,” alongside solo releases such as Jimin’s “Like Crazy” and Jung Kook’s “Seven” featuring Latto, have all reached #1 on the Hot 100 in recent years.

Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters has also become the platform’s most-watched original animated film, further highlighting the global appeal of K-Pop and its increasing crossover into mainstream media.
