According to StarWars.com, Kathleen Kennedy announced three new Star Wars films at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023. Directors for the films include James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka), and Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel, Saving Face).
Mangold’s film will visit the origins of the Jedi. Dave Filoni’s will look at the New Republic, and wrap up the stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series. Daisy Ridley will return as Rey in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film, which will be set after the events of Rise of Skywalker, when Rey attempts to build a new Jedi Order.
