The BBC released the trailer for Season 2 of ‘The Tourist’, which follows-up on the events of Season 1 where amnesiac Elliot, played by Jamie Dornan, attempts to discover his identity before his past catches up with him.
Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of Ireland, Elliott (Jamie Dornan) and Helen (Danielle Macdonald) are confronted by friends and foes. As they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past, they are soon dragged into a longstanding family feud where they face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.
Joining Dornan and Macdonald are new characters including Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill), Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré) and the McDonnell family – Donal (Diarmaid Murtagh), Orla (Nessa Matthews), Fergal (Mark McKenna), and Frank (Francis Magee).
‘The Tourist’ is directed by Chris Sweeney and co-written by Harry Williams and Jack Williams. The series will air Monday 1 January 2024 on BBC One and iPlayer.
