Following the highly anticipated Christmas special featuring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, the BBC has unveiled a teaser trailer for the forthcoming season of Doctor Who. The trailer hints at exciting new adventures with “new friends, rivals, and enemies” awaiting the Fifteenth Doctor.
Gatwa’s second season as the Doctor will see the return of Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson. The teaser also introduces Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra, sparking curiosity about her role in the Doctor’s journey.
Season 2 of Doctor Who will stream on Disney+ in 2025.
Ncuti Gatwa stepped into the role of the Fifteenth Doctor following David Tennant’s celebrated return in a trio of special episodes, where he reprised his iconic portrayal of the Time Lord.
The upcoming season is helmed by showrunner and executive producer Russell T Davies, with Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter also serving as executive producers. Produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios, Doctor Who will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with additional distribution through Disney Branded Television.
