Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees 2025

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has released its list of nominees for 2025. This year’s nominees include eight first-time contenders, alongside returning nominees like Joy Division/New Order and Mariah Carey.

A group of musicians, industry professionals, and historians—along with a fan vote—determines the inductees, allowing fans to support their favorites.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was created in 1983. The first class of inductees, in 1986, included artists such as Elvis Presley, James Brown, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, The Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
