‘Slow Horses’ Face London Rules in Season 5 Trailer

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Season 5 of Slow Horses. The hit espionage drama is adapted from Mick Herron’s CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning Slough House novels, with the upcoming season drawing from London Rules.

In the trailer, suspicion arises when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. But as a series of bizarre events destabilizes London, it’s up to Jackson Lamb and his team of misfit MI5 agents to connect the dots. In the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.

Synopsis: This quick-witted spy drama follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents—and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb—as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.

Slow Horses Season 5 premieres September 24, 2025 on Apple TV+ with the first of six episodes. New episodes will drop weekly each Wednesday through October 29.

The returning ensemble cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. Season 5 will also feature Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed as a special guest star.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith. Executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Smith, and Graham Yost. Saul Metzstein, Emmy-nominated for his directing work on Season 3, returns to helm Season 5.

“Slow Horses” has become one of Apple TV+’s most acclaimed dramas, recently scoring Emmy and BAFTA recognition for its gripping blend of sharp writing, suspenseful plotting, and dark humor.
