‘The Blackening’ Upends Horror Tropes in New Trailer

Lionsgate Movies released the trailer for the horror comedy film ‘The Blackening’, which is set to hit theatres on June 16, 2023. ‘The Blackening’ features a group of Black friends on a Juneteenth getaway who are targeted by a sadistic killer.

The film is directed by by Tim Story (Ride Along, Think Like A Man, Barbershop) with screenplay and screen story by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip, Harlem) & Dewayne Perkins (The Amber Ruffin Show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
