‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Release Date Revealed; Max Drops Trailer

MAX dropped the official trailer and release date for Season 2 of The Last of Us, continuing the adaptation of Naughty Dog’s award-winning game. Set in a pandemic-ridden world overrun by zombies, the series explores survival, humanity, and hope.

MAX has announced an April release date for Season 2.

Logline: Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, the central protagonists fighting to survive in a world teeming with danger and loss.

Joining Pascal and Ramsey are returning cast members Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. The season also introduces new characters played by Kaitlyn Dever (Abby), Isabela Merced (Dina), Young Mazino (Jesse), Ariela Barer (Mel), Tati Gabrielle (Nora), Spencer Lord (Owen), Danny Ramirez (Manny), and Jeffrey Wright (Isaac). Catherine O’Hara makes a special guest appearance.

The series is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. A co-production with Sony Pictures Television, The Last of Us is also executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. The show is produced in collaboration with PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.
