Toei Animation releases the first teaser for a new series ‘Dragon Ball DAIMA’, which promises an untold story in the Dragon Ball universe. The release of the series will be timed with the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball celebrations in the Fall of 2024.
‘Dragon Ball DAIMA’ was first announced during a panel at New York Comic Con.
Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, created the story & character design for the series.
Toei Animation released a statement from Toriyama about his work on the series as well as the series overall.
The announced title “Dragon Ball DAIMA” was thought up by Toriyama as “a strong name that is different from the ones before.” People around the globe can enjoy the new and never- before-seen “DRAGON BALL” world full of adventures, battles, and mysteries!”
Dragon Ball was first created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The series follows Goku, inspired by Son Goku of the Chinese novel Journey to the West, who is an alien who comes to earth. He develops friends, family, and over time becomes one of the strongest on earth and its mightiest defender.
