As part of Netflix’s 2023 Geeked Week, the streaming service released the official teaser for the film ‘Ultraman: Rising’. The film will be released at an as yet unspecified date in 2024 on Netflix.
Synopsis: When baseball superstar Ken Sato returns home to Japan to pick up the mantle of Earth-defending superhero #Ultraman, he quickly finds more than he bargained for as he’s forced to raise the offspring of his greatest foe.
Ultraman: Rising is directed by Shannon Tindle (Kubo & The Two Strings) alongside co-director John Aoishima (Kubo & The Two Strings). The film is adapted from characters created by Eiji Tsuburaya.
Christopher Sean (You, Hawaii Five-O, Star Wars Resistance) leads the cast as Ken Sato/Ultraman, alongside Gedde Watanabe (Sixteen Candles, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, The Summit of the Gods) as Professor Sato, Tamlyn Tomita (The Good Doctor, Cobra Kai, the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender) as Emiko Sato, Keone Young (Crank, Men in Black 3, Star Wars Rebels) as Dr. Onda, and Julia Harriman as Ami.
