According to Bloomberg, Disney is working on a new X-Files that will be produced by Black Panther and Creed director Ryan Coogler.

The original series ‘The X-Files’ was created by Chris Carter and ran on Fox for 10 seasons. ‘The X-Files’ was a huge hit for the network, launching two spin-offs ‘Millenium’ and ‘The Lone Gunmen’. They ran for three seasons and one season respectively.

In 2018, ‘The X-Files’ returned for an 10 episode run, making it the show’s 11th season, which followed the 1998 film ‘The X-Files’ and the 2008 film ‘The X-Files: I Want to Believe’.

‘The X-Files’ also helped boost the careers of David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully). Mulder began the series as an FBI agent whose investigations into the strange and unknown cases, known as the X-Files, isolated him at the agency, with Scully, a medical doctor and comparable skeptic, was tasked with keeping an eye on Mulder.
