YG released a statement confirming that Blackpink would release new music in 2025 and they’d also launch a world tour next year.
Blackpink released their last album, titled “Born Pink”, in 2022, and their last world tour, the Born Pink World Tour, took place in 2023.
Earlier this year Blackpink released the theatrical concert film of the Born Pink tour which began its theatrical run on July 31st, 2024.
Blackpink was formed under YG Entertainment in 2016, with the group consisting of Jisoon, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé.
Following the release of Born Pink, Jisoo released her solo album “ME.”
They are the highest-charting female Korean act on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, with their single “Ice Cream” and their album “Born Pink”, which hit #13 and #1 respectively on the Billboard charts.
