Korean entertainment label YG’s co-founder Yang Hyun-suk announced in a new video that 2NE1 will be touring in celebration of their 15th anniversary. Hyun-suk stated the tour would begin in October in South Korea followed by dates in Osaka and Tokyo in the following months.
2NE1 debuted in 2009 and became YG’s first successful girl group with over 66 million physical and digital records sold worldwide. They’ve been recognized in Rolling Stone and on the Billboard 200 charts as well as in the Oricon charts in Japan.
2NE1’s last studio album titled Crush was released in 2014. Following this release they primarily focused on solo activities until a reunion in 2022 at Coachella followed by recent teasers leading up to the announcement of their 15th anniversary reunion.
