Yoshiki Announces Classical “Requiem” World Tour with Orchestra

Yoshiki, the leader of the influential Japanese rock group X-Japan, and the supergroup The Last Rock Stars, has announced a 2023 world tour featuring an orchestra as he performs classical songs. This tour will mark the 10th anniversary of his album ‘Yoshiki Classical’.

Yoshiki will be performing at the Garden Theater in Tokyo on Oct 7, the Royal Albert Hall in London on October 13, the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on October 20, and Carnegie Hall in New York on October 28.

Yoshiki was trained as a classical pianist, and he used his piano skills, along with his drumming, to help create one of Japan’s most beloved and influential bands X-Japan.

Yoshiki has previously performed in the United States, as a part of X-Japan, The Last Rockstars, and solo classical performances. Yoshiki was previously hired to compose the Golden Globes theme in 2012.
