Death is a Living in Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Mickey 17’

Bong Joon Ho is set to return with his first film since 2020 Best Picture winner Parasite won over audiences and critics alike.

Ho’s newest film is ‘Mickey 17’, which stars Robert Pattinson in a futuristic sci-fi world where Pattison’s Mickey is an Expendable who deaths for a living so that others may learn from his deaths.

Warner Bros. Pictures released the official trailer for the film which is set for a January 31, 2025 theatrical release.

In addition to Pattison, ‘Mickey 17’ stars Toni Collette, Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, and others.

‘Mickey 17’ is adapted from Edward Ashton’s novel ‘Mickey 7’, and the film is executive produced by Brad Pitt, Jesse Ehrman, Peter Dodd and Marianne Jenkins alongside producers Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Bong Joon Ho, and Dooho Choi.

‘Mickey 17’ was originally set for a 2024 release; however, it was delayed for the January 31st, 2025 date it has now.
