Netflix has unveiled the trailer for Squid Game Season 2, teasing the return of Seong Gi-hun, Player 456, portrayed by Lee Jung-jae. This time, Gi-hun re-enters the deadly competition, determined to take on those who control the game.
Squid Game Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Netflix on December 26.
Synopsis: Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.
The upcoming season features returning cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo, alongside new additions Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the mastermind behind Squid Game, reprises his role as writer, director, and executive producer for the new season.
Netflix has also shared first-look images of Squid Game Season 2 during its Geeked Week celebrations, offering fans a glimpse of what lies ahead.
