Gods and Knights Come to Life in Saint Seiya’s ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ Live-Action Trailer

Sony Pictures Entertainment released the trailer for the forthcoming ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ film, which adapts the classic Saint Seiya manga. ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ will be released in theaters on May 12th.

Plot Synopsis: “Seiya (Mackenyu), a headstrong street teen, spends his time fighting for cash while he searches for his abducted sister. When one of his fights unwittingly taps into mystical powers he never knew he had, Seiya finds himself thrust into a world of warring saints, ancient magical training and a reincarnated goddess who needs his protection. If he’s to survive, he will need to embrace his destiny and sacrifice everything to take his rightful place among the Knights of the Zodiac.”

Saint Seiya’s was written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada for Weekly Shonen Jump from 1986 to 1990. Saint Seiya has had sequel mangas and anime adaptations, including several anime films, but this will be the first live-action adaptation.

Knights of the Zodiac will star Mackenyu as Seiya, Madison Iseman as Sienna, along with Famke Janssen, Sean Bean, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl, Diego Tinoco, and David Torok. Knights of the Zodiac is directed by Tomasz Baginski with screenplay co-written by Josh Campbell, Matt Stuecken, and Kiel Murray.
