Tokyo Vice Season 2 to Uncover More Tales of the Japanese Underworld

MAX released the official trailer for Tokyo Vice 2, which sees the return of reporter and crime writer Jake Adelstein. Tokyo Vice is adapted from the autobiographical memoir ‘Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan’ written and released by Jake Adelstein in 2009.

The series will return for a 10-episode run beginning on Thursday, February 8th, with each new episode releasing weekly.

Synopsis: Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, season two of the series, filmed on location in Tokyo, takes us deeper into the city’s criminal underworld as Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) comes to realize that his life, and the lives of those close to him, are in terrible danger.

‘Tokyo Vice’ was created by created and written by Tony Award® winner J.T. Rogers.

The cast for Tokyo Vice 2 includes: Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Show Kasamatsu, Ayumi Ito, and new series regulars Yosuke Kubozuka and Miki Maya.
